EUROVISION CELEBRATION
Here you are a little bit about our first Eurovision contest celebrated on may 10th. Enjoy it!
On 10th May, students and teachers celebrated together their particular Eurovision. All students become artists for a moment to remember some famous songs from this song contest.
Infants represented Spain with the song Europe´s living a celebration. Year 1 children sang Save your kisses for me representing United Kingdom. Waterloo, the Swedish song, was year 3 students’ choice for the contest. Denmark was represented by year 4 pupils with the song Only teardrops. Norway appeared on stage with year 5 children singing Fairy Tale and, at last but not least, year 6 students represented Israel with the song Toy.
Although there was a winner song after voting: Toy, the 2018 winner song in the real Song Contest; everybody won something that day. It was a special opportunity for all students to show their abilities dancing and singing in English what implies using coordination, memory and cooperation among other secondary abilities. So we can say that behind the show there is students and teachers’ hard work. Therefore, all of them deserve a very big applause.
El 10 de mayo, alumnos y profesores celebraron juntos su particular Eurovisión. Todos los alumnos se convirtieron en artistas por un momento para recordar algunas canciones famosas de este concurso musical.
Los niños de Infantil representaron a España con la canción Europe´s living a celebration. Los niños de 1º cantaron Save your kisses for me representando a Reino Unido. Waterloo, la canción sueca, fue la elegida por los estudiantes de 3º. Dinamarca fue representada por los alumnus de 4º con la canción Only teardrops. Noruega apareció en el escenario con los alumnos de 5º cantando Fairy Tale y, por ultimo, los estudiantes de 6º representaron a Israel con la canción Toy.
Aunque después de los votos hubo una canción ganadora: Toy, la ganadora de 2018 en el concurso auténtico.; todos ganamos algo ese día. Fue una occasion especial para que los alumnos demostraran sus habilidades bailando y cantando en inglés lo que conlleva utilizar la coordinación, la memoria y cooperación entre otras habilidades secundarias. Por lo tanto, hay que reconocer que detrás del espectáculo, hay un duro trabajo tanto por parte de los alumnos como de los profesores. Así que, todos ellos merecen un gran aplauso.
